This 2-day course meets the requirements of the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace for qualified electrical workers to demonstrate electrical safe work practices. Employers may use this training as part of their overall qualification program.
Students will perform a risk analysis, complete a job safety plan, and job briefing, select and inspect PPE, establish barricades, develop an emergency response plan and establish an electrically safe work condition on three-phase equipment. When performed on site (at your location) all training equipment and safety checklists are provided by NTT.
Students will use the pocket-sized NTT Electrical Job Aid to perform tasks which can then be used in the field as reminder steps for following electrical safe work practices.

The NFPA 70E Standard for Electrically Safety in the Workplace requires employers to establish, document, and implement the safety-related work practices and procedures found in the standard.
This course provides an overview of the electrical safe work practices, the program required contents and, the steps workers follow when performing electrical tasks. A pocket-sized NTT Job Aid is provided to each attendee to be used as a reference for both program requirements and a list of items to observe in the field to help determine proper electrical safe work procedures are being followed.

NTT’s Electrical Safety: Practical Skills for Switchgear training helps qualified electrical workers, operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel apply safe work practices when interacting with low- and medium-voltage switchgear systems. This course addresses practical risks associated with breaker operation, racking, switching procedures, shock and arc flash exposure, and temporary protective grounding.
Switchgear tasks can expose workers to serious hazards when they do not fully understand the equipment, operating positions, racking process, interlocks, required PPE, boundaries, or grounding procedures.
The program supports safer and more consistent task execution by reinforcing shock and arc flash risk assessment, safe switching practices, remote operation or racking methods when applicable, and maintenance. It is aligned with OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E®, NFPA 70B, and applicable industry guidance.
Participants gain practical experience using NTT switchgear and circuit breaker training equipment while working through the flow of real switchgear tasks: developing a job safety plan, selecting and inspecting PPE, establishing boundaries, operating and racking breakers, inspecting breaker and cubicle components, testing for absence of voltage, and installing and removing temporary protective grounds.

The NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety requires retraining in safety-related work practices and the applicable changes in the standard at least every 3 years. Additionally, refresher training should occur whenever there is a change in job assignment, a change in the type of equipment or processes present, or when the worker is not complying with safetyrelated work practices.
This refresher training fulfills this requirement in an efficient 8-hour format.
Topics include the essential knowledge and skills for conducting thorough risk assessments, selecting, inspecting, and properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), and verifying the safety of equipment for normal operation. Participants will also learn how to create detailed job safety plans to ensure safe electrical work and understand the critical procedures for establishing an electrically safe work condition through Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Participants will use both the NFPA 70E and NTT’s Electrical Safety Job Aid to review real-world scenario safety-related practices, enabling them to apply best practices consistently in the field.

NTT’s Hands-On Medium Voltage (MV) Training equips electricians, operators, reliability managers, and engineers with essential skills for operating and maintaining medium voltage distribution systems. This medium voltage training covers topics such as reading MV single-line diagrams, protective relaying, switching operations, cable and switchgear testing, required maintenance activities, and medium voltage safety.
Expert-led sessions emphasize the distribution system path from substation through utilization equipment, major component functions, and maintenance practices. This practical approach ensures participants leave with the skills and confidence to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
Delivered on-site at your facility or at the NTT facility, our Hands-On Medium Voltage Course provides a practical learning experience, bridging the gap between theory and real-world application.

NTT’s Train-The-Observer: Electrical Safety Field Observer Training course equips supervisors and safety leaders to confidently observe, evaluate, and coach qualified electrical workers in the field.
This one-day, hands-on program focuses on how to identify safe work practices, ensure compliance with NFPA 70E and OSHA standards, and document findings using NTT’s structured observation tools. Participants learn proven techniques to assess real-world electrical tasks, provide constructive feedback, and support qualification records with clear documentation.
By developing observation and communication skills, this course helps organizations strengthen electrical safety culture, reduce risk exposure, and maintain compliance through consistent, evidence-based evaluations.
