  • Why You should take this training program

Any company that uses any kind of lifts or hoists has operators perform those lifts. This practical hands-on course teaches the how to safely rig and lift known weight loads, the most common rigging and lifting activity in industry.

Participants on this hoisting and rigging training program will learn about rigging safety and how to calculate the weight of a load, common hitch and sling types, ropes, and locating the load’s center of gravity.

This hoisting and rigging training applies to you if your business is in mining, electrical facilities, transportation, construction, the military, forestry, firefighting, lumber production, or even rope rescue. The practical knowledge gained in our Rigging NCCCO – Level 1training program will deliver a tangible improvement in both safety and on-the-job performance.

This course is also a test-prep course for the Rigger 1 NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) certification. NCCCO is an industry-certification designating someone as a *Qualified* rigger. Companies are increasingly requiring a *Qualified* rigger to address insurance costs and damaged-good costs.

NOTE: This is a test prep course. It does not result in NCCCO certification. This course does not “designate” worker as qualified to do rigging. Only the Employer can do this.
