This group of modules covers logistics skills and how they are used in the manufacturing process. Each module in this competency group builds on the one before it, giving you confidence as you develop your knowledge in a way that is logical and intuitive.

What is Logistics?

Upon completion of this module, you will be able to identify the key milestones throughout logistics history, the primary categories of logistics, and logistics’ fundamental tasks (Estimated completion time: 0.9 hours).

Logistics Technology

This module is designed to teach you how IT systems ensure the flow of products and data, the types of technology that support supply chain management, and how logistics is used to support material handling (Estimated completion time: 0.8 hours).

Inventory

After completing this module, you will be able to explain how lead time effects inventory, how inventory management works, identify different types of inventory packaging, and differentiate the three types of inventory costs (Estimated completion time: 0.8 hours).

Distribution and Transportation

This module is designed to teach you about product distribution, warehousing and its role in supply chain management, different modes for transporting goods, and material handling systems (Estimated completion time: 0.9 hours).

Safety, Quality and the Environment in Logistics

Winning in Logistics

This module teaches the elements of winning logistics plan.
