- Explain grounding and bonding concepts and terminology consistent with NEC 2026.
- Identify and install grounding electrode systems and grounding electrode conductors, including correct sizing and installation location.
- Apply bonding requirements at services, separately derived systems, buildings/structures, enclosures, and equipment to ensure an effective fault-current path.
- Analyze fault conditions and describe how faults clear (single fault-current path), including coordination with overcurrent devices.
- Describe and apply ground-fault protection concepts (GFP/GFCI) and verify functional intent.
