Why You should take this training program
This course is available via our interactive Live Online Training format. Live Online Training course length and content may vary from our in-classroom content. Click Here to ask us about the differences.
The NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety requires retraining in safety-related work practices and the applicable changes in the standard at least every 3 years. Additionally, refresher training should occur whenever there is a change in job assignment, a change in the type of equipment or processes present, or when the worker is not complying with safetyrelated work practices.
This refresher training fulfills this requirement in an efficient 8-hour format.
Topics include the essential knowledge and skills for conducting thorough risk assessments, selecting, inspecting, and properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), and verifying the safety of equipment for normal operation. Participants will also learn how to create detailed job safety plans to ensure safe electrical work and understand the critical procedures for establishing an electrically safe work condition through Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Participants will use both the NFPA 70E and NTT’s Electrical Safety Job Aid to review real-world scenario safety-related practices, enabling them to apply best practices consistently in the field.
