This module examines the purpose of team building, activities designed to improve group dynamics, and build purpose. It also outlines the four common types of team building exercises (Estimated completion time: 0.9 hours).

This module reviews the four types of teams, characteristics of a successful team, three basic team roles, and the five stages of team development (Estimated completion time: 1.2 hours).


This module outlines how to develop a SMART goal, four decision-making procedures, the six steps of the problem-solving process, and how to avoid and settle conflict (Estimated completion time: 1.1 hours).

Group Dynamics

Working in a Group

After completing this module, you will be able to define group dynamics, list the advantages of working in a group, and describe the difference between formal and informal groups, as well as primary and secondary groups (Estimated completion time: 0.7 hours).

Group Communication

This module reviews the guidelines for effective communication, how to listen for understanding, common listening traps, and how to avoid sending mixed messages (Estimated completion time: 0.9 hours).

Effective Collaboration

This module outlines the differences between a positive and negative group climate, and guidelines for effective group discussion (Estimated completion time: 0.8 hours).


This module covers the four life stages of a team, sources of friction, synergy, ground rules, and how to build a cohesive team (Estimated completion time: 0.9 hours).


This module outlines ground rules for effective meetings, including the importance of preparation, how to handle difficult personalities, and overcome anxiety associated with leading a meeting (Estimated completion time: 0.8 hours).


This module outlines the advantages and disadvantages of diversity, strategies for working in a diverse group, and ways to overcome language barriers (Estimated completion time: 0.9 hours).


This module provides strategies for enhancing creativity, including brainstorming and mind-mapping (Estimated completion time: 0.8 hours).


This module outlines problem-solving techniques and how to use both the IDEA and S-T-P methods to solve problems (Estimated completion time: 1 hour).


This module details strategies for group decision-making, and how to avoid groupthink and reach consensus (Estimated completion time: 1 hour).

Conflict Management

This module outlines strategies for conflict resolution and enhancing collaboration (Estimated completion time: 1.4 hours).


Upon completion of this module, you will be able to list ways to develop leadership, identify the traits of successful leaders, and explain how to create a plan and set goals (Estimated completion time: 0.8 hours).

Virtual Groups

After completing this module, you will be able to describe the challenges and benefits associated with virtual group communication, list ways to get the most out of working in a virtual group, explain the guidelines for conducting virtual meetings, and use different types of conferencing tools (Estimated completion time: 1 hour).
