You may be able to take a piece of equipment apart and put it back together blindfolded. That’s impressive, but it will do you no good if you cannot work effectively with others or across departments to drive your business. “Soft Skills” used to be only the interpersonal traits that allow you to function effectively as a team member. We’re talking about such things as communication, team building, and time management. But we know you need more Technical Soft Skills – like LEAN and Six-Sigma. Many of these skills have been codified within best practices widely accepted among advanced manufacturing professionals.
